The base version of Vampire: The Masquerade lets the player choose their clan from five options (Brujah, Banu Haqim, Gangrel, Toreador, and Ventrue), with another two sold separately as DLC (Caitiff and Tremere). The vampires are currently hunted by an organization known as the Second Inquisition, and the use of communication technology has become strictly forbidden.
